Google is Testing Expanded Search Results

Google has started testing a new form of search results that gives users information details on a particular subjects with the same previous regular results. SEL (Search Engine Land) reports says that the new area to the right of the tradition results show a data list encyclopedic , about actors ,musicians , movies , celebrities , TV shows , books , and also includes information from of Google + circles .

The site hypothesizes that this new area would be part of the update of Google’s search, such as The Wall Street Journal reported in March. SEL alos noticed the first that Google was testing -last November-a “Sources” box , the notion seems to have developed a bit since then. As you can see in the picture above, looking for the television series ”Lost” on Google search, we saw the first sentence of the Wikipedia article, the dates of the first and last episodes , the production team , the players , along with search terms related . When you click on one of the elements will begin a new Google search. If you are a user of Google + , updates and media with your circles appear above the new results.

The module appears to have been spotted first by Cyrus Shepard, who shared screenshots of the new display including this one from a search for pop singer Rihanna. -SEL

At present, the function is limited only to some users and it is unclear if or when there will be a worldwide release.
